RoAndCo is looking for an experienced and exemplary Account Manager to join our New York or Los Angeles team.

Management Role & Responsibilities

» The Account Manager is the glue between client, account team, strategy and design teams. The Account Manager ensures the overall success of a project. Ensuring the scope is properly written, the team is on-task and on-brief, on-time and within budget.

» AM has a positive impact on projects, teams and clients by providing clear direction and vision

» AM works with Account team & Design team to ensure overall successful, on-time and on-budget projects

» AM manaves multi-disciplinary, 360-degree projects efficiently, by spearheading and managing relationships with clients

» AM manages conflict, incites discussion, and helps make decisions in relation to managing clients, projects and team

Client Management

» The Account Manager is to liaise between client, account team and design team to ensure an overall successful, on-brief, on-time and on-budget project

» This will include new business follow through, proposal development, brief creation, scheduling, budgeting, status reporting, working with Account Director to support invoicing, info and asset gathering

» Must proactively identify issues in relation to any of the above areas and relay them to both the internal team, and then to the client

» Understand and analyze client mandates in terms of their business objectives

» Effectively communicate project requirements to creative team

» Oversee a log of all client delays and out-of-scope requests and address them immediately

» Manage overall client budget

» Foster deeper relationships with clients to grow future business opportunities

» Prepare monthly updates on hours usage to clients

» Gather ongoing client feedback on the project to help improve future projects

Scheduling & Meetings

» Manage project schedules, outlining key client meetings and deliverables

» Handle scheduling of all client meetings with support of executive assistant and in coordination with the rest of the Account team

» Ensure all work has been completed, printed and prepared for client meetings

» Attend client meetings with an agenda to keep team on point and on schedule

» Talk to clients about budget, proposals, timing, and production. In client meetings, back up and thoughtfully reinforce strategy and design team’s ideas and opinions

» Keep meeting notes & distribute with a list of follow up/to-do’s within 24 hours

» Make a clear record of all decisions. Must get sign-off from all attendees about decisions made. There should be no ambiguity at the end of meetings

» Must be the enforcer of deadlines on both ends of the project and work to best resolve any missed deadlines


» Ensure that all upfront/retainer fees are paid prior to start of project

» Manage client expenses and compile for bookkeeper

» Maintain a current/up-to-date list of project billing status

New Business Scoping & Proposal Writing

» When a new business lead comes in, assist Account Director and/or Head of Client Services with next steps in developing the proposal, outlining the SOW, timing and deliverables of a project.

» Work on the development and delivery of the proposal/pitch based on client requirements

» Work closely with the Account team to create proposals/contracts, retainer agreements, change-in-scope agreements, including but not limited to creating the: scope of work & estimated timing for internal design and PM fees, estimates for printing & programming, outside costs etc

» It is your responsibility to make sure the team and the client are confident with the scope of work, project kick off and timing prior to project start and throughout

Production for photoshoots /events

» When needed you will produce client photoshoots, films and events. This includes overall coordination of vendors, schedules, budget tracking, sponsorships, invites, day of coordination and post production. This may also include casting, location scouting, and craft service booking

» AM understands the importance of DEI with regard to hiring practices and will keep this top of mind whenever called to aid in recruiting and making personnel decisions.

» It is the AM’s responsibility to keep abreast of sustainability developments applicable to the design field (eg: everything from sustainable packaging options to how to minimize use of energy/data) and consider how this can be applied to your projects (both internal & client). The AM will be called to share such information & present sustainable options directly to clients whenever relevant and appropriate.

» The AM will keep such sustainability considerations in mind when overseeing projects, encouraging their teams to explore sustainable options wherever possible. As new design or industry-related developments in sustainability are found, AM will share & make this information available for the wider team to also utilize.

» We choose a different team member to chair the DEI & Sustainability groups each month, AM will be called upon to curate and chair these meetings from time to time.

» AM will participate in formal DEI & Sustainability training sessions to further education to help enable us meet our respective company goals.


» 3+ years of experience in account management, has worked closely with designers on branding, marketing campaigns and web design / digital communications- ideally in a studio/agency environment

» Ability to present and support creative concepts in a confident and professional manner

» Comfortable with the basic understanding of both print design as well as web design/development and able to communicate directly with print vendors + web engineers

» Exceptional writing & communication skills

» Strategically-inclined way of thinking

» Interest and/or experience in the fashion, luxury, lifestyle businesses
» Passionate and excited about new technology
